In 1997 Godfrey went to his oncle Gladman Zinyeka in Harare. He assited his oncle at his work as an artist.
At school he learned wood carving, and he was good at it. So it did not take a long time for him to learn the
art of stone carving. He only worked one year together with his oncle, after his death he started working with
Rangarirai Makunde. From 2001 he works alone.
He works at Tsidi Gallery, 66 Airport Road, Hatfield, Harare.
